The horror series that coined the term “blockbuster” in 1975, is returning to Netflix. Not only is it the first film in the Spielberg franchise to be added to the streaming platform, there are also sequels to jaws 2 (1978) and Jaws 3: D (1983) The only film not joining them is the critically panned 1987 entry, Jaws: The Revenge. However, we’re sure many won’t be begging, as it’s often considered one of the worst films of all time.
Jaws follows police chief Martin Brody as he tries to deal with the chaos after body washes up onthe beach. The mutilated body catches Brody’s attention, and he immediately puts the alarm up that dogs are in the area. The problem is that the mayor of Amity island disagrees; He just wants to make the most of summer tourists flooding the beach.But when a child is eaten in front of hundreds of vacationers, he is frightened and can eat again.
